How it worksWho we are
Spread Warmth started in London, Ontario during the coldest months of the year. We kept walking past people living outside. We were cold even in winter coats, and we could not imagine being out there without one.
We were five friends with nothing but time. No funding, no organization, no plan. We just knew we could not sit and do nothing. So we went out and collected clothes for the people who needed them.
We have run many events since, and clothing is where we started, not where it ends. We help in whatever way we can. The point was never the size of any one drive. It is the proof that a regular group of students can come together and help their community, and that anyone reading this can do the same.
Bring Spread Warmth to your city
Spread Warmth is a symbol more than an organization. A few students in London ran a clothing drive with nothing but time. Students in Vancouver and Victoria saw it and did the same. That is the whole idea, and it works anywhere.
